Royal Steward is a strategy board game that takes place in the medieval period. It is designed for 1 to 4 Players.

The purpose of the game is to try to impress The King, who is looking to appoint a Royal Steward/Adviser. To do so, a Player must show that they are the most knowledgeable, creative, adaptable, and efficient. If a Player is successful, they win the game!

A game takes place over a year period, with each Turn representing a month. Players each have 12 Turns (spanning 4 Seasons) to do their best to impress The King. They do so by roleplaying as various Occupations. Just a few examples are: Farmer, Bard, Tailor, Lumberjack, Miner, Painter, Engineer, Chemist, Baker, Stone Carver, etc. In fact, there are over 50 different Occupations in Royal Steward! While it is possible to buy goods from the Marketplace, Players that "chain" Occupation actions, and make goods, generally earn more Prestige Points.

Players will cultivate land, build houses, tame wild animals, harvest foods, sail the ocean, and handle natural disasters.

Players will try to earn a fortune by producing jewelry, constructing carriages, forging tools, hunting vicious animals, and finding rare raw materials.

In other words, there are many ways to win the game!
